To give an existing team member access to one or multiple Filio projects, use the project assignment controls in the Filio Web App. You can then check the user’s project memberships and manage other user settings from the Users directory.
Before you start: Sign in with administrator permissions for the relevant projects. Company Super Admins can administer company-level access; Office Super Admins are limited to their authorized office scope unless granted additional access.
How to Add a User to Projects
Step 1 — Select the Projects
Open Projects from the left sidebar. Select the checkbox for one project or select multiple projects to give the same user access to several projects. Review which projects are selected before continuing.
Step 2 — Add the User from the Directory
Open the selected projects’ Settings, choose Add Users and Groups, then Import Users From Directory. Find the existing user, select the appropriate account, and continue to the permissions screen. Choose the project permissions the user needs and confirm with the on-screen action. This is the workflow for adding access to new projects.
How to Review and Save User Settings
Step 3 — Open Users and Edit the Account
To review the result, go to Users, find the user, and click the Edit icon under Tools.

The Edit User window includes User Information, Projects, and Groups.

Step 4 — Review Project Memberships
Open the Projects tab to see the projects associated with this user. Use the search field to find a project if necessary.

Important: This window currently says “View & Unassign This User’s Projects.” Its checkboxes select existing memberships, and the trash icon is used to remove those memberships. Selecting the rows here does not add the user to new projects. If you select many rows, review the selected count carefully before any removal.

Step 5 — Return to User Information and Save
If you edited the user’s profile information, role, office, or Project Creation Access, return to User Information and click Save. The Save button is on this tab, not on the Projects tab.

Helpful Notes
Project access and Project Creation Access are different: the first determines which existing projects a user can access, while the second controls their ability to create projects. Review the permissions you grant and avoid removing memberships unintentionally.
