How to Use Save History in Filio Reports?

Save History in Filio helps you review and compare earlier saved versions of a report page by page. If you update text descriptions metadata or other report content and later want to check what changed Save History lets you compare the earlier version with the current one and restore either a specific change or an entire earlier version.

Step 1- Open Your Report

Open the report you want to review in Filio.
You can access the report while editing a newly created report or by opening a previously saved report from your Reports or Report History section.
Once the report is open you will see the report editor.

Step 2-Open Save History

From the right sidebar inside the report editor click:
Save History
This opens the Save History panel where you can review earlier saved versions of your report.

Step 3 - Select an Earlier Saved Version

Inside Save History you will see a list of saved versions on the left side.
You can:
Scroll through the saved versions
Search by version or author
Use filters to narrow the results
Click the version you want to review.
Filio will load a comparison between that earlier version and the current version of the report.

Step 4-Compare Earlier Version and Current Version

After selecting a version Filio displays a side by side comparison:
Earlier Version on one side
Current Version on the other side
This helps you visually review what changed between the two report states.
You may also see synchronized scrolling so both versions move together while reviewing the same page area.

Step 5 - Review Changed Fields and Changed Pages

On the right side Filio highlights the detected changes for the selected page or report section.
Depending on the update you may see:
Changed pages
Changed fields
Previous value
Current value
For example you might see that a media description has changed from an older text to a newer updated description.
This makes it easier to confirm what was edited before restoring anything.

Step 6-Restore a Specific Change or Keep the Current Content

If you want to bring back only one earlier change click:
Restore this change
If you want to keep the current version for that item click:
Keep report now
This is useful when you only want to restore one field such as a description instead of replacing the
entire report.

Step 7 - Restore an Entire Earlier Version

If needed you can restore the full earlier saved version by clicking:
Restore earlier version
This will replace the current report content with the selected earlier version.
After restoring review the result and click:
Save changes
to apply and keep the restored version.

Tips and Notes

Tips:

  • Use Save History before final approval if you want to verify recent edits
  • Review changed fields carefully before restoring a full version
  • Restore this change is best when you only need one part of the report back
  • Restore earlier version is best when you want to roll back the whole report state
  • Use the version list and author search to quickly find the right saved version

Important Note

  • Restoring an earlier version can replace the current report content. Always review the comparison first before saving changes.

Track report changes with confidence using Save History in Filio.
