Step-by-Step Guide to Sorting Media
Step 1 – Open Filio Web App and Select a Project
Log in to filio.io and open the project you want to review. Your media will appear on the left, with the map view or plan sheet view displayed on the right.
Step 2 – Click on “Sort By”
At the top of your media list, click the Sort By button (next to filters). This will open a pop-up window with multiple sorting options.
Step 3 – Choose a Sorting Field
From the dropdown menu, select the criteria you’d like to sort by.
You can sort your media by:
Date & Time
Description
Taken By
Tags
Labels
Elevation
GPS Precision Weather Condition
Weather Temperature
Wind Speed
Video Transcription
AI Caption
Step 4 – Set the Order and Apply
Choose whether to sort Ascending (A→Z / oldest→newest) or Descending (Z→A / newest→oldest). Click Sort to apply the setting — your media will instantly rearrange based on your selected field and order.
Tips and Warnings
Combine sorting with filters (such as tags, AI captions, or timeline) for precise project reviews.
- Use AI Caption sorting to quickly identify specific content types (e.g., “concrete,” “ceiling,” “inspection”).
- Sorting by Weather Condition or Elevation is especially useful for geotechnical or field inspection projects.
- Only synced media will appear in sorting results — unsynced local media from mobile won’t be included.
- Sorting resets if you refresh or switch between projects, so reapply filters if needed.
