What is a Project Status in Filio Web App, and Where Can I Use It?

Curious about Project Status in the Filio Web App? This guide explains what a Project Status is and where you can view or manage it to track your project’s progress effectively.

Understanding and Managing Project Status

Learn the definition of Project Status and discover the key places to view or update it in the Filio Web App.

What is a Project Status?

A Project Status in the Filio Web App defines a project’s current phase, such as Active, On Hold, Closed, or Archived. It helps you and your team track whether a project is ongoing, paused, completed, or inaccessible. [Learn more about each Project Status →]

View Project Status on the Projects Page

Each project on the Projects Page displays its status (e.g., Active, Internal, Closed), providing a quick overview of all projects at a glance.

Update Project Status During Editing

Select a project and click Settings (next to action icons). Change the status (e.g., from Active to On Hold) as needed.

Set Project Status During Project Creation

During project creation, choose a Project Status in the first step. Select statuses like Opportunity for projects in negotiation or Active for ongoing ones.

Set Project Status in Default Project Templates

When creating a Default Project template, select a Project Status in the Organize step. New projects created from the template inherit this status automatically.

Tips and Warnings

  • Use Active for ongoing projects and Opportunity for projects in negotiation.
  • Set On Hold for temporary pauses and Closed or Archived for completed projects.
  • Use Archived to remove access while keeping records with Closed.
  • Changing a project’s status may restrict access for users, groups, or external links.
Always verify status changes to avoid unintended access issues.
