Understanding and Managing Plan Sheets
Discover what a Plan Sheet is and follow these steps to add or manage one in the Filio Web App.
What is a Plan Sheet?
A Plan Sheet in the Filio Web App is an image or PDF, JPG, or PNG file of a map, drawing, or floor plan that can be overlaid on the project map for accurate alignment. You can upload multiple plan sheets (for different floors or areas), adjust their position, rotation, and opacity, and set one overlay as the active default for each plan.
Option 1: Add a Plan Sheet During Project Creation
In the “Map & Plans” step, switch to the Plan Sheets tab. Click Upload Plan Sheet or drag and drop your file (supported formats: PDF, JPG, PNG; each page becomes its own sheet).
You can:
– Click Finish to complete project setup with the plan sheet saved, or
– Click Map Overlay (green button at top right) to align it with the map.
In overlay view:
– Drag and move the sheet into position.
– Adjust opacity to align it with the map.
– Rotate, minimize, or maximize for precision.
– Click Submit to finalize (a confirmation will appear).
Option 2: Add or Edit Plan Sheets in an Existing Project
Go to Projects from the sidebar and open your project. Switch to the Plan Sheets tab (next to Map). Click Add Plan Sheet to upload a new one, or select an existing sheet.
You’ll see two options:
– Plan Sheet Configuration: Edit plan sheet details (name, direction, degree).
– Open: Overlay and align the plan sheet on the map.
In overlay view:
– Use Show Map Overlay to begin aligning.
– Zoom in/out, rotate, or resize for accuracy.
– Use Configure if needed to edit metadata like name, direction, or rotation degree.
– Save changes to finalize.
Tips and Warnings
- Upload multiple plan sheets for projects with different floors or areas.
- Adjust opacity in overlay view for easier alignment.
- Use PDF for multi-page plan sheets (each page becomes a separate sheet).
- Ensure supported formats (PDF, JPG, PNG) to avoid upload errors.
- Only one overlay per plan sheet can be active at a time.
