How to Use View and Drag Markers in the Filio App?

Explore the "View" feature in Filio to switch map types and enhance your project visualization. Additionally, learn how to drag markers to adjust picture locations accurately within your projects.

What is “View”

Understand how to use the "View" feature to change map types in your Filio project.

Step 1: Access and Understand the View Feature

– Tapping on “View” (top right corner) allows you to change the map type in your project.
– Use this feature to switch perspectives and better visualize your project environment.

Step 2: Explore Available Map Types

Available Map Types:
– NORMAL – Standard 2D roadmap (default view).
– SATELLITE – Aerial photographic imagery.
– TERRAIN – Map showing physical features like mountains and rivers.

How to Drag Markers and Change Picture Locations | Filio

Follow these steps to adjust picture locations by dragging markers in your project.

Step 1: Open Project and Zoom In

– Open a project in the Filio app to begin editing.
– Zoom in on the map to get a closer view of the area where you want to adjust the picture location.

Step 2: Drag and Drop the Marker

– Hold the arrow marker on the map where the picture is located.
– Drag and drop the arrow to the correct or updated location to ensure accurate visual documentation.

Tips and Warnings

Tips for View:

  •  Use the SATELLITE view for detailed aerial analysis of your project site.
  • Switch to TERRAIN view when planning routes over uneven landscapes.

 

Tips for Drag Markers:

  • Zoom in closely to ensure precise marker placement.
  • Save changes after dragging to update project data immediately.

Warnings for View:

  • Ensure a stable internet connection for loading SATELLITE and TERRAIN views.
  • Avoid switching views during active edits to prevent data loss.

 

Warnings for Drag Markers:

  • Double-check the new location before dropping the marker to avoid errors.
  • Ensure you have edit permissions to modify picture locations.
