Sync Media and Free Up Storage
Optimize your device storage while keeping media safely synced to the cloud.
Step 1: Access Settings and Storage Menu
Launch the Filio app on your mobile device, then tap the Settings icon in the bottom-right corner to access your app preferences. From there, tap “Data and Storage” to view storage options.

Step 2: Configure Removal and Cloud Access
– Select “Remove Synced Media After” to decide how long synced files stay on your phone before being deleted locally.
– Choose a timeframe from the available options: 1 day, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, or 6 months. The default setting is 3 months, recommended for most users, but you can adjust it based on your storage needs.
– Tap “Save” to apply the selected timeframe.
– Navigate to the Gallery tab and select “Cloud Media” to access all your synced photos and videos, ensuring you can view them anytime with an internet connection.

Switch Between Cellular and Wi-Fi
Control how Filio syncs your media to balance speed and data usage.
Step 1: Open Settings and Navigate to Sync Options
Tap the Settings tab in the bottom navigation bar to begin, then in the Settings menu, tap “Data and Storage” to access sync preferences.

Step 2: Select and Confirm Network Preference
– Tap “Media Sync Options” to change the sync type.
– Select one of the following options: “WiFi and Cellular” (recommended for faster uploads, especially on-site), “WiFi Only” (to reduce mobile data usage), or “Cellular Only” (for use when Wi-Fi is unavailable).
