How to Easily Sort and Find Projects in Filio?

Juggling multiple projects? Filio makes it simple to sort and find what you need, whether by name, date, status, or even on the map. This guide covers sorting projects from the list, filtering media inside a project, and using maps or timelines for quick searches.

Steps to Sort and Find Projects

Follow these steps to organize your project list and dive into media effortlessly.

Step 1: Sort and Filter Projects from the List

– Log in to your Filio web account and go to the Projects page (it shows your full list with map view on the right).
– Sort directly by clicking the column headers like “Name ↓”, “Code ↓”, “Last Updated ↓”, or “Status” to reorder the projects instantly.
– For more advanced filtering, click the Filters button next to the search bar to open the popup. Check status options such as Active, On Hold, or Archived, or set a date range with the From and To calendars, then hit Filter to apply.
– Use the search bar for quick keyword finds, or spot projects on the map by their pins.

Step 2: Sort and Filter Media Inside a Project

– Once you find and open a project, head to the media list in the dashboard.
– Click Sort By at the top of the list to open the Sort Media popup. Choose a field such as Date and Time with Ascending or Descending options, Description, Taken By, Tags, Labels, Elevation, GPS Precision, Weather Condition, Temperature, Wind Speed, Video Transcription, or AI Caption, then hit Sort.
– For filtering, click Filter by Data Collector to check collectors or Filter by Tags to select tags. Use the search box to narrow your results, then click Filter.
– Reset with the “Reset” button if needed.

Step 3: Filter by Map Area or Timeline

– In the project dashboard, switch to the Map tab and click Area Filter at the top right to drag a box over the map. Only media from that area will appear, with the timeline and stats below updating automatically.
– For time-based filtering, use the timeline graph. Adjust the Start and End dates for a specific range, or choose presets such as Today, This Week, This Month, This Year, or All Media from the dropdown. The graph updates automatically to show media counts for your selection.
– To clear, re-click “Select” on the map or reset dates.

Tips and Warnings

Get the most out of sorting with these quick pointers and cautions.

  • Combine filters (e.g., status + date) for super-specific searches.
  • Use map pins for location-based finds and zoom in for details.
  • Save frequent sorts as defaults to speed up future sessions.
  • Filters persist on reload, so reset if switching searches.
  • Timeline shows only uploaded media so check sync status first.
  • Area filters work best with geo-tagged media; untagged items won’t appear.
