How to Create a Default Project Template in Filio

Want to streamline project creation in the Filio Web App? Default Projects allow you to save templates with pre-set details, users, and rules for faster, consistent project setups. Follow this step-by-step guide to create a Default Project.

What is a Default Project Template?

A Default Project Template in the Filio Web App is a reusable template that includes pre-set details, users, and rules. It helps you create new projects faster by copying settings, saving time and ensuring consistency.

Steps to Create a Default Project Template

Follow these steps to set up a Default Project Template in the Filio Web App for efficient project creation.

Start a New Template

Organize Your Project

Finalize and Save

Step 1: Access Default Projects

Log in to your Filio Web App account. Navigate to the Projects page and click Default Projects in the top-right corner.

Step 2: Start a New Template

Click New Template to open the template creation workflow.

Step 3: Enter General Information

Fill in the required and optional details:
– Default Project Template Name: Required, choose a unique name.
– Project Code: Optional identifier for the project.
– Client: Specify the client (optional).
– Description: Add a brief project description (optional).
– Project Manager: Enter the manager’s name.
– Project Field Engineer: Enter the field engineer’s name.
Note: You can click Save at any step to ensure your progress is stored. Continue with Next, or click directly on the step titles to move ahead.

Step 4: Organize Your Project

Select a Project Status and add extra configurations as needed:
– Project Status: Choose from Active, Internal, Closed, On Hold, etc.
– Additional Configurations (Optional):
– Add Tags for categorization.
– Set Naming Rules for consistency.
– Enable Notifications for updates.
– Add Quick Access Links for resources.
– Include Custom Fields for specific data.
– Select Units for measurements.

Step 5: Manage User Access

Click Import Users From Directory to add users. View your company’s user list with subscription status. Select users or groups and click Add.

Step 6: Configure AI Guidance

Write an AI prompt to guide analysis (Example “Read only the plants on the images”). Optionally, upload an image and click Test Your AI to preview results (Example labels like Tree, Grass, Canopy).

Step 7: Finalize and Save

Click Save to finalize your Default Project Template. The template will appear in the Default Projects list, ready for use in new projects.

Tips and Warnings

  • Use descriptive names for Default Projects to easily identify them later.
  • Edit templates anytime using the pencil icon in the Default Projects list.
  • Be careful when assigning access to selected users.
